St. Patrick Golf Team

Long Run Golf Course has been the primary practice facility for the St. Patrick Catholic School Golf Team since 2006.  The St. Patrick golf team has grown from a handful of players to over 100 players in grades K-8!  Many former St. Patrick golfers have continued their success on the golf course through high school and college.

Since 2006, the St. Patrick team has won dozens of Team and Individual CSAA City Championships.

Congratulations to the 2013 Celtic Golf Team for another winning season!

Each season we strive to build on our tradition of success, but most importantly, we hope to teach our children a game that stresses honesty and integrity.  Golf is a sport to enjoy for a lifetime.

The St. Patrick Golf Team is open to girls and boys in Kindergarten through 8th  grade, regardless of experience level.  Over the past couple of years we have had a tremendous growth among our youngest players (K-4th graders).

All practices were held at Long Run Golf Course on Tuesdays and Thursdays, April - June.  Practices emphasized the fundamentals of the swing, chipping and putting.

Returning to assist in coaching the team for the eighth consecutive year was PGA Pro Moe Demling, PGA Pro Eddie Mudd, Long Run Assistant Pro and St. Xavier High School Assistant Coach, Gary Demling, and Sacred Heart Academy Head Golf Coach, Leslie Demling Bender.  Moe, the Head Pro at Long Run, continued to lead our instruction at his course.  Moe has a tremendous energy level, a love of the game, and a wealth of teaching knowledge.  With nearly 50 years of teaching experience, he has instructed some of the area’s finest players.  Moe also has a personal interest in the team since his grandson attends St. Patrick.

The season concluded with the CSAA City Championship, which was held at Seneca Golf Course on Monday, June 3rd and Tuesday, June 4th, 2013. This year the St. Patrick Golf team won first place in the 4th grade boys division, third place in the 5th grade boys division and second place in the 7th grade boys division.

We also have many individual champions:
